Party Preparations are Underway!

With our Maltby Summer BBQ only two weeks away, it's crazy around here!  I'm working with the caterers to finalize the menu, working in the yard so it all looks tidy, and having fun planning the appetizers and of course, featuring six pies from the Maltby Pie Company for dessert! (pies will be served with Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream).  We are looking forward to seeing our friends, getting caught up with each others' lives, and sharing the Slow Life in Maltby.

Here's a shot of the garage, our 'staging area'.  I painted the outdoor furniture yesterday, and it looks like new. I trimmed the front yard, put the final plants and flowers in place, and will now spend the last two weeks on the details of the meal and the placement of the tables, chairs, wine and food (the garden shed will be turned into a mini-wine bar for the occasion).  We are featuring a nice assortment of local wines to go with the meal.
