We selected two types of apples for the pies (Jonagold and Gala), and enjoyed the smells that filled the kitchen while they baked on Friday evening. The pies are sold either whole or by the slice, and there were still pies left for us to sample after the church service on Sunday morning.

Apple Pies for the Church Bake Sale
Last Saturday was the church bake sale! It's the main fund-raiser for the women's ministry at our church, and I arrived at the church at 9 a.m. to drop off my contributions.
