Juno left us unexpectedly on February 9, and we've spent the last few weeks trying to make a life without her. She was that once-in-a-lifetime dog, and in her four short years with us, she captivated our waking hours with intelligence, love, and unconditional affection.
On the day of her death, our neighbors filled our front porch with pots of Spring flowers, and spent time with us remembering her life in Maltby and her part in our small community. We will always miss Juno, because loving her was such a good thing. Eventually our grief will be replaced by the joy we have in these memories.
Our gardener Eric is helping us create a memorial garden for her in the pasture.
